Stewards Live Intentionally - Budgeting

Updated: Jan 8, 2019

The Bible tells us to, "be diligent", to know the state of our flocks and herds. If we're going to diligently manage what belongs to the Lord, then we have to sit down and come up with a plan (budget) for the resources He has entrusted to us. First you create a budget for the money, before it even comes in, then you sit & pray, asking the Lord what He wants you to do with the money. Are there places in your budget He is asking you to change? The goal is to have the Lord to, "direct", your steps. You don't have to be perfect at this the first time, it will likely take 90 days to start to get a rhythm. In fact, even years into the process you'll be learning new things and tweaking the process, but the goal of a steward it to be "found faithful", so start the journey now and watch what the Lord does in your life.

Proverbs 27:23 (NKJV)

23 Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, And attend to your herds;

Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)

A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.

1 Corinthians 4:2 (NKJV)

Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.
